Swimming lessons for babies and toddlers! Welcome to the magical experience of Water Sprites, where the swimming journey for your baby and toddler begins! Every single swimming lesson that we do helps to ensure your child is confident and content in the water. Babies and toddlers up to the age of four can develop important swimming skills and a love of the water through play and discovery, games and singing, and above all spending quality time with you. At Water Sprites, our structured and progressive swimming lessons have been carefully and thoughtfully planned with your developing baby and toddler in mind. In each swimming class we combine songs and games to introduce vital swimming skills in a fun and energetic way. We don’t use any permanent floatation devices such as armbands, because we feel it is important to encourage your child’s own natural swimming movements. This helps to reinforce their water confidence and understanding of their aquatic surroundings. In our Water Sprites swimming classes we work closely alongside you by showing you the various ways of holding your baby and moving them through the water to encourage development of their natural swimming reflexes. We show you lots of different exercises and movements to allow each baby to develop at their own pace, and we encourage you to swim together so that your little one experiences the motions of swimming. During our lessons, we go underwater, and we jump and dive in the water to encourage breath control and water confidence. We play games and use various swimming aids and toys to encourage your baby towards independence in the water.

Establishment: I have always loved swimming and the benefits ever since I was small, and attended swimming lessons three times a week. I obtained numerous swimming, diving, water skills, and personal survival awards including the ASA (Amateur Swimming Association) Honours Swimming Challenge Award throughout my younger years. I went on to obtain my ASA Assistant Swimming Teacher and Bronze Medallion qualifications whilst studying in the sixth-form. I have been giving my two young daughters swimming lessons since they were tiny babies, and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to teach other babies and toddlers how to swim too. They are both still taking swimming lessons and are already showing signs of following in mummy’s footsteps. I have found teaching babies and toddlers how to swim an increadibly rewarding experience.

Areas we cover: We run baby and toddler swimming lessons in Lincoln, Newark and Radcliffe-on-Trent during term time for 12 weeks in total. YOU CAN START OUR LESSONS AT ANY TIME DURING THE COURSE! We have baby and toddler swimming lessons on a Thursday morning in Newark and on a Thursday afternoon in Dunholme, Lincoln. Water Sprites baby and toddler swimming lessons are now also being held on a Friday morning in Radcliffe-On-Trent(within commutable distance of Bingham, Cotgrave, Saxondale, East Bridgford, West Bridgford, Gunthorpe, Nottingham).
