Plumis is a fast-growing company that produces Automist, an innovative alternative to fire sprinklers for the home. Automist is quick to install, easier to retrofit and uses a fraction of the water of a standard sprinkler system, greatly reducing water damage. This unique product allows homeowners and architects to create open plan spaces that otherwise would be impractical to achieve under the building regulations. Automist won the James Dyson Award in 2009, was selected by the British Library as one of the top 15 British inventions of the last decade, and in November 2014 Plumis won Innovator of the Year at the Growing Business Awards, Britain's most established recognition of entrepreneurial success.
