Hidden away in the stunning conservation village of Clapham and nestled under the magnificent Yorkshire Three peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside, The New Inn is a Grade II listed 18th Century Coaching Inn located in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The New Inn ? journey back in time and imagine life in this untouched part of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Our village of Clapham-Cum-Newby is said to have originally been a Viking community lead by Thorfin of Ravensworth. As a Conservation village, many features of 21st century modern communities don?t exist. There are no street lights, overhead wires or modern architecture. Simple stone buildings are at the core of this village along with stunning bridges, an ancient church and babbling brook. The New Inn began life as a Coaching Inn around the year 1745, if these walls could talk, what a story they might tell!
