LighterLife tackles weight loss through encouraging people to look at their eating patterns and the emotional issues that inform them. As well as planning your meals around LighterLife Foodpacks, each participant must commit to attending weekly group meetings led by a trained LighterLife counsellor. LighterLife sessions address the three different areas of mind, body, and support. Joining LighterLife is an investment in yourself and your future. The support element is crucial in achieving a healthier relationship with food and yourself. There are no public weigh-ins and nothing to make you feel uncomfortable or embarrassed. Everyone else in the group which never numbers more than 12 people and is single-sex is in the same position. This means that you can confidentially share your concerns about overeating, as well as ways to tackle stress and tricky situations without automatically turning to food.
