Kate and Matt Owen are co-owners of Wrought in the Port. We are committed to providing our customers with top quality wrought iron gates, railings, furniture and sculptures. All of our work is handmade to order at our workshop in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. We work using a combination of modern and traditional designs and techniques. We have an impressive portfolio of designs to choose from and we are always pleased to welcome new ideas or to work from our customers own drawings and photographs. We have sent our work all over the UK and even to mainland Europe but for our local customers(within 25 miles) we can offer a complete service including delivery and installation if required. Wrought in the Port offers a wide range of services ranging from the design and manufacture of bespoke gates, railings and furniture to simple, everyday repairs. Whatever you need, please get in touch - we can almost certainly help! Design ~ It doesn't matter if you haven't got a fixed plan. Even if you just have an idea of what you want then we can help you turn it into something special. If you have no idea at all then we can still help you as we've got lots of designs to choose from and we're happy to customize any of them to suit your requirements. Manufacture ~ All of our items are handmade in our workshop using the best available materials. Our steel suppliers are extremely reliable and we constantly check the quality of our wrought iron components to ensure that our customers are getting the best. Our excellent reputation has been built on our attention to detail as well as our friendly, reliable service. Galvanizing ~ Bare ironwork can be galvanized(dipped in molten zinc) to prevent it from rusting. For refurbishing and restoration information please see below. Powder Coating ~ Our products can be professionally powder-coated to give a long-lasting, high quality finish. Many different colours and effects are available; please ask for further details. Installation ~ For customers within 25 miles of Ellesmere Port we offer a fitting service for gates and railings. If you would prefer to carry out your own installation then we are happy to offer advice. We can also re-hang existing gates after driveway modifications and fit gates made or bought elsewhere; just call with some details and we'll give you a price. Restoration ~ We have been involved in several important restoration projects for Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council, Cheshire West and Chester Council, Cheshire Wildlife Trust, the Boat Museum and the Countryside Rangers. Refurbishment ~ We offer a refurbishing service for customers who would prefer to keep their existing ironwork. Gates and railings can be given a new lease of life with shot-blasting, galvanizing and powder-coating. Aluminium or cast-iron garden furniture can also be shot-blasted and powder-coated. You can choose a different colour to fit in with a new garden scheme or have the same colour again to make them look as good as new. Establishment: The business was established in 2002 and since then we have expanded from small beginnings into larger premises and built a reputation for quality, reliability and friendly service. Much of our work these days comes via recommendation from satisfied customers. We have been awarded several prestigious contracts by our local authorities, formerly Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council but now Cheshire West and Chester Council. We recently completed the largest alley-gating scheme in the North West as part of a scheme to combat anti-social behaviour in the region.
