Davenport House is an award winning Chiropody, Podiatry, Physiotherapy and Nutrition Clinic based at the foothill of the Pennines in Stalybridge, Greater Manchester. The clinic has received accreditation for its excellent standards four years in a row. The owners of Davenport House Clinic, husband and wife team Becky and Tony Gavin, are passionate about what they do. We are a family run business and our aim is for you to feel comfortable at all times and be delighted with the treatment you receive. From your initial contact with the clinic until the moment you leave following your visit, we hope that every single patient feels welcome and at ease throughout. Becky, Tony and their team understand that it may be a little daunting when booking an appointment if you havent attended before and as such, lend themselves to offering the very highest standard of patient care and confidentiality. All of our staff are fully aware that our clinic is about you. Our services will always be tailored to meet your needs, and we will always try to see you at a time that suits you. Originally built in 1858 for Surgeon, Sir Thomas Brierley, in 2008 Davenport House was converted back to its historical roots to become Tameside's premier Podiatry and Physiotherapy Clinic, named Davenport House Clinic. The house stands proud at the top of Cheetham Hill Road with beautiful views to the hills and towards Stalybridge Industry. Davenport Houses gardens would originally have extended to Buckley Street, but over the years land was sold off to members of the family, and the original stables demolished. The stableman's window, although now bricked up, can still be seen under the house. Davenport House was historically used as a doctors surgery and the side door alongside the car park would have been where patients would have entered. In the cellar, below the house, the original stone table where the doctor would have held post mortems can still be seen. It is often suggested that the slab is so large that the house must have been built around the table. The treatment rooms in Davenport House Clinic can only be described as stunning. Set in a mid 19th Century house on the border of Stalybridge and Dukinfield, the rooms are spacious, light and airy, with many original features. Davenport House is as unique as the treatment and care you will receive. The large rooms lend themselves to ensuring your chiropody, podiatry, physiotherapy or nutrition treatments are as comfortable as possible. Each room is tastefully decorated, and has many original features. The rooms are fitted with furniture to suit the individual needs of each practitioner, and as such can offer a very high standard of care to each patient. Access for all is a priority at Davenport House, and as such all our treatment rooms are accessible at ground level. Please inform the receptionist when booking if any assistance is required and we will do our utmost to accommodate any specific requests you may have. All Practitioners at Davenport House Clinic are qualified to the highest level and are registered with the Health Professions Council and have a wealth of knowledge and experience in their field of work. Our Chiropodists and Podiatrists are experts in general foot care but also specialise in Nail Surgery, Diabetic Foot Care and Biomechanics. We have an on-site gait laboratory ProGait offering complete gait analysis and pressure plate studies.
