Bill Shorthouse Metals specialises in the supply of Solders, Fluxes, Silver Solders, Copper-Phosphorus Alloys and White Metal Casting Alloys in any quantity large or small. We supply solders in ingot various sizes, plumbers bars nominal 500grms, body solder bars nominal 500grms, tinmans sticks nominal 250grms, blowpipe sticks nominal 60grms, pellets, solder wire, solid and flux cored in various diameters, from 3. 25mm to 0. 5mm in leaded and lead-free. Reel sizes range from 100grm, 250grm, 500grm, 2. 5kg and 3kg. White Metal casting alloys for the model and jewellery industries in lead base and lead-free including pewter are normally supplied in nominal 1 kilo bars but we can supply in other stick / bar sizes if required. Fluxes cover many types and specifications for the job in hand ranging from rosin based, rosin free, no-clean, organic, zinc chloride based, phosphoric acid, and many more. Silver Solders are supplied in bare rod, flux-coated rods, strip, wire, foil, paste and powders.
Establishment: Bill Shorthouse Metals started trading totally independently in 1998. Bill Shorthouse himself has over 40 years experience within the solder industry, having gained the bulk of his knowledge as a Senior Technical Representative with then the largest UK solder manufacturer. He started his own business in 1986, a joint venture with another UK based solder manufacturer before going totally independent in 1998, enabling him to offer a full range of solders, solder wires, silver solders, white metal casting alloys, fluxes and pastes.
