Explore the beautiful Lake District from our conveniently located and comfortable Ambleside hostel. We offer affordable, clean and comfortable accommodation for fell walkers, backpackers and travellers interested in exploring the Lake District. Conveniently located just four minutes from the centre of Ambleside, our hostel is the perfect base from which to explore the region. Enjoy the Lake District’s finest scenery and attractions from our location at the north end of Lake Windermere. Book beds for yourself or with friends, We have 60 beds in 10 rooms with between 2 and 12 beds in, so there should be a bed to suit you in either male, femal or mixed rooms. All our prices at Ambleside Backpackers Hostel include self serve breakfast, wifi, tea and coffee.

We offer claen safe secure accommodation for single travellers, groups, familys and large groups. Contact us for more information on our vacancies or to book the entire hostel for your group trip or event. We have varying dorm sizes so if you book early enough we can often accommodate you in a room that has the right number s of beds for your group, giving privacy and best cost option.

Establishment: Our hostel is a privately owend and managed independant hostel. We have 3 stars on the visit Britain tourist board spectrum and have been operating for almost 10 years now. We pride ourselves on clean accommodation and value for money.
